Enrollment Services Manager 4 (Director of Enrollment Management)

Penn State Altoona is seeking a Director of Enrollment Management. This position is a member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Chancellor. This position will oversee admissions, enrollment management, student aid, and adult and veterans admissions. This position will be responsible to oversee program functions related to enrollment management of the campus and broader University, including oversight of admissions and financial aid processes; oversee implementation of events and projects related to enrollment management of the campus and broader University; develop departmental budgets and manage appropriate expenditures; recommend process changes based on reports and analyses of enrollment trends and financial aid; establish policies and procedures with respect to enrollment management goals; oversee professional and support staff including hiring, evaluating and training; build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as school district counselors and transfer counselors from area institutions, as well as University stakeholders; provide input to the campus's strategic planning and budget planning processes as a member of the leadership team as well as present reports and analyses of enrollment trends and financial aid to a variety of audiences including faculty, staff, and advisory board members; train and mentor staff on advising and counseling prospective and current students on University processes for admission and student aid; oversee the evaluation of credentials for students' applications for admission and financial aid including review of exceptions; partner with the Office of University Relations to support the campus's marketing efforts, plan and implement admissions and enrollment events. Collaborate on student recruitment goals, to review, maintain, and manage enrollment management web pages, and to create and maintain social media channels for enrollment management purposes. Oversee high school visits, collaborate with faculty and other departments as appropriate for these visits; serve as a liaison with a variety of offices including the Registrar, Bursar, Advising, Athletics, etc. Responsible for targeted enrollment strategies for special populations; support articulation agreements; ensure that the office makes regular presentations to prospective students and families, serve on campus committees, e.g., strategic planning, retention committee, diversity committee. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate will have experience with a complex Customer Relationship Management System. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills are required. Prior experience supervising an energetic team of admissions professionals is preferred. Successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record of enrollment growth successes within higher education. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work and the ability to travel regionally as well as to/from State College for meetings, as necessary. Since this position requires driving as part of your job, a valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
