Admissions Counselor

Penn State Beaver is seeking an Admissions Counselor (Enrollment Services Specialist 3) to recruit traditional-age students for Penn State, with an emphasis on recruiting under-represented students.

The successful candidate will participate in high school visits and college fairs, maintain relationships with guidance counselors, regularly communicate with prospects and applicants, and participate in numerous on campus recruitment events. The position will also be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to recruit under-represented students.

Candidates should expect extensive travel throughout Beaver, Allegheny and Washington counties, with some evening and weekend responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Slate CRM, PeopleSoft SIS, and delivering presentations to teens and young adults.

Qualifications: Position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.

The position also requires the following clearances:

-PA State Police Criminal Background Check

-PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

-Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

The cover letter should include a statement of the candidate's demonstrated ability to support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
