The Admissions Information Coordinator is a member of the Office of Admissions and is responsible for serving as the interface with multiple people in the Admissions office and around campus. The position is responsible for answering calls and monitoring incoming electronic communication to quickly and accurately respond to inquiries from prospective students and families, individuals outside of Bucknell who work with high school and college students, and other University offices.
The Admissions Information Coordinator reports to the Senior Admissions Information Coordinator.

Job Duties:
-Assist in managing, processing and responding to all incoming electronic communications to the Office of Admissions. This includes, but is not limited to phone calls and email. These communications will include general requests for information, scheduling of appointments for daily visitation programs, event registration, application status queries, questions related to the admissions process, and information regarding visiting campus and the local community.
-Generate correspondence to external constituents to respond to incoming queries or when requested by a professional staff member.
-Maintain appropriate confidentiality of student information and proprietary department records.
-Process any general queries by mail that are not related to a specific applicant or prospective student.
-Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Admissions programs and functions, as well as general knowledge of the University and its structure to be able to accurately answer questions and inquiries.
-Remain knowledgeable, current, and responsive to changes in office protocol and procedure.
-Serve as a backup to the Senior Admissions Information Coordinator
-Serve as a backup for the front desk staff. Duties include receiving, greeting, and directing campus visitors.
-Assist with data entry and scanning of prospective student inquiries and application information when needed.
-Reserve back-up venues for family preview sessions and group previews, as needed.
-Hire, train, and supervise student assistants, in collaboration with the Senior Admissions Information Coordinator.
-Coordinate and maintain all college fair activity for the Admissions staff.
-Provide all support services for college fairs including communicating with admissions officers, high schools and alumni/parents, sending materials, responding to fair invitations and securing payment for fairs.
-Secure alumni and parent volunteers to serve Bucknell representatives at regional college fairs.
-Assist the counselor who oversees the Admissions alumni and parent engagement program with logistics related to volunteer identification, recruitment, communications, training, and recognition.
-Create agendas and compile minutes for the Off-campus Recruitment Committee meetings and retreats.
-Assist with the t-shirt/pennant/giveaway program.
-Assist with programs and projects.
-Attend Admissions staff meetings and retreats as requested.
-Participate in professional development opportunities, conferences, and other activities, as requested and approved.
-Serve on other University committees, task forces, and advisory boards, as requested.
-Assume other duties as requested by the supervisor or Dean of Admissions.
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-One year of administrative experience
-Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
-Proficiency in Google Workspace and the capability to learn new technologies
In addition to the standard office hours of operation, this position may require Saturdays and limited evening work, which would be scheduled in advance.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with a multi-line telephone system
-Familiarity with the college admissions process
-Experience in customer service, sales, marketing, and/or public relations
Physical Demands:
The ability to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. is required.
Work Type:
This is a full-time staff, non-exempt benefits eligible position.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
Salary Range:
This is a staff non-exempt position with a hiring range of $15.09-18.86 (NE06). The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
