Position Description
Fontbonne University is seeking passionate, multi-talented, and qualified applicants for the Associate or Senior Director of International Admission position. Reporting to the Director of Admission, this team member creates, implements, and monitors a multi-year undergraduate recruitment plan for new and target international recruitment markets, which align with Fontbonne's enrollment goals. Based upon methodical and acute market research, this professional identifies, and coordinates partnerships with professional organizations, stakeholders, government officials and other strategic influencers who directly serve eligible international students.

This team member has a strong understanding of the enrollment process for international students, supports all reporting and compliance practices for continuing international students, and is the primary team member who manages the supporting platforms and systems such as SEVIS on behalf of Fontbonne University.

This team member is a strong recruiter with exceptional cross-cultural communication skills. She or he seeks and effectively utilizes data, maintains current knowledge as it relates to enrollment management best-practices and industry insights, and effectively leverages Customer Recruitment Management systems (ex. Slate), and other emerging communication tools to enroll a diverse and broad array of talented students.

Department

The Fontbonne University Office of Admissions is a progressive and vibrant unit which serves as the customer service point of contact for prospective students, families, schools, and key stakeholders. As the dedicated stewards of the undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and admissions processes, the Office of Admissions provides support to academic and administrative departments and other constituents who directly and indirectly engage in recruitment events and activities.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Identify recruitment opportunities by analyzing and assessing market research, trends, and other relevant data
Manage communication with international students throughout the recruitment process, including managing and creating workflows in Fontbonne's CRM SlateInput all prospective student information into Fontbonne's student information system
Oversee all Student and Exchange Visitor Program coordination and compliance, and updates in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS) system
Serve as the Primary Designated School Official and issue initial I-20
Facilitate and manage all agent agreements and partnerships, as well as oversee the vetting and training of agents
Serve as the liaison for all "sponsored" partnerships for inbound students
Represent Fontbonne through in-person and virtual visits to secondary schools, community-based organizations and scholarship programs (extensive travel, and regular evening and weekend hours are required.)
Manage individuals representing Fontbonne at international fairs/agency events when unable to travel to said events
Maintain strong relationships with international alumni
Advise the international student organization
Award scholarships while coordinating with the Financial Aid Office and the Finance Office/CFO to ensure aid optimization to drive net revenue per student to meet new student enrollment goals and maximize retention of continuing students
Promote a student-centered environment that supports the personal, social, and academic development of all students; build strategic partnerships with organizations and agents to create additional revenue opportunities consistent with the University's mission
Monitor, analyze, and evaluate data related recruitment and yield events, and customer service initiatives
Produce routine and ad-hoc reports, identifying and monitoring key performance indicators, opportunities, challenges, and anticipated changes
Conduct on-campus visitor interviews, e-mail correspondence, telephone communication, customer service functions, outreach related activities, and follow-up (e.g., travel coordination, special events, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and Vice President of Enrollment Management, Marketing & Communications

Education & Experience: Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of four or more years of direct and progressive experience in college/university international admissions, retention, and/or enrollment management.
A valid passport is required.

Education & Experience: Preferred

Master's degree in higher education, marketing, business, counseling, or related field.
Seven or more years of demonstrated success working in undergraduate international admissions at an accredited, non-profit college or university.
Demonstrated success in the following areas: undergraduate international student recruitment, event planning, and utilizing SEVIS to manage I-20 and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated success working with underrepresented students and communities.
Demonstrated success in territory management in undergraduate admissions.
Demonstrated success cultivating and managing positive and fruitful relationships with secondary school personnel, and community-based organizations.
Strong preference for verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
