Administrative Assistant - UIWSOM Office of Admissions and Student Affairs

Position Summary
The administrative assistant functions as a member of the admissions and student affairs team and demonstrates superior customer service. He or she will greet visitors, answer and respond to student phone calls and emails, assist with the admissions application and interview process, support recruitment and community events, and assist with other student events as assigned. The administrative assistant supports the Associate Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs with clerical work, travel reconciliation, and budget-related matters. The administrative assistant will also provide clerical support for various school committees.

This position is considered a "Responsible Employee" under Title IX federal regulations and "Mandatory Reporter" under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you, as the employee, to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Required Education
High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Required Work Experience
Three years experience providing customer service.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing customer service in a university or health profession school setting.
Associates Degree.

Work Hours
Typical Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional extended hours to meet departmental needs.
