General Summary
The Admissions Counselor supports enrollment management for an assigned region through activity that assists local recruitment, student on-boarding and retention efforts. This position focuses on preparing and supporting CPS students prior to their first course along with post-enrollment support, including readmissions activity to improve student persistence and overall enrollment volume.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Meet with new students to review course schedule, communicate expectations and prepare them for their academic experience with Indiana Tech
Promote and facilitate CPS orientation for new students
Assist with prospective students to qualify and facilitate enrollments
Checkpoint calls with students to improve student success and retention
Contact local stop-outs to promote and assist re-enrollment
Work closely with admission representatives with various admissions activity, including event marketing and other promotional opportunities
Send or distribute literature to clients as needed by admissions
Perform data entry and data management per university policies and procedures utilizing Slate CRM
Respond in a positive manner to telephone calls and interface with administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, vendors, and visitors
Provide support and outreach to students who have not logged into courses
Provide outreach to students not registered for upcoming sessions
Travel between locations to assist local students and admissions staff
Perform post-enrollment data validation and processing for new student matriculation
Actively participate in generating ideas to support culture of continuous improvement
Support the strategic plan, vision, and policies of Indiana Tech and CPS
Adhere to all state, and federal accreditation and Institute rules and regulations regarding student recruitment
Provide various administrative duties and support as required of this position
Assist both staff and faculty with various duties as needed
Other duties as required to support CPS admissions and enrollments

Qualifications
Associate degree or higher required
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn and communicate about CPS programs and the enrollment process
Sales and/or marketing skills preferred
Exemplary customer service skills
Organization and time management skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a team environment
Driven and highly organized with excellent time-management skills

Experience
Two or more years of documented/progressive work history in a customer service, sales support, recruiting, student advising, or similar roles with advanced knowledge of the systems, processes, and procedures as they pertain to the organization.

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Will require external work and will require periods of time standing on your feet. Expect for the need to travel between locations on an as needed basis. Daily and overnight travel may be required.
