Admissions Counselor (Enrollment Services Specialist)

Penn State Schuylkill is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking professional to join the recruitment and admissions team in the Enrollment Management Office. The primary responsibility of this position will be to recruit the most qualified and diverse class to Penn State Schuylkill while providing a superior admissions experience for students and families.

Reporting to the Director Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Service Specialist (Admissions Counselor) at Penn State Schuylkill, will work in undergraduate admissions and represent both the campus and the university in recruitment events throughout the year. They will process, evaluate and communicate admission decisions to applicants and families throughout the admissions funnel. They will host in-persona and virtual events geared towards targeted populations. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in college admissions is a plus. Travel extensively to high schools and other off-campus events. Some evening and weekend work is required during peak times in the enrollment and recruitment cycle.

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects is critical. Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
