Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Admissions and Records Assistant 3 for the Student Services department. ***This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.*** Admissions and Records Assistant 3 duties include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of domestic and international applications and supporting documents including academic transcripts for students seeking admissions to the University in undergraduate degree programs. In addition, this position provides support for document intake, as well as, quality control and error resolution. This position is also responsible for data entry into the PeopleSoft system, records reconciliation, assist prospective and current students and parents, process admission requests, supervise and train student employees and other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of clerical experience, two (2) years of which was in a college admissions and/or records office or relevant student services area which included records maintenance, public/customer relations, evaluation of detailed information and documents, and the explanation of complex policies and procedures; OR one (1) year of experience as an Admissions & Records Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

This position requires experience with evaluating domestic and international student transcripts and PeopleSoft.

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and requires flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
